Creating Healthy Habits That Last

Mother and Daughter Enjoying a Bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios

Health has been, and will always be, my main priority while raising my beautiful, energetic toddlers. In a world of near infinite options when it comes to food and snacks, sometimes it’s difficult to choose which will benefit my family the most. Most importantly, I want to take charge of leading by example by focusing on the options that contribute to a heart healthy diet for myself and my husband. Regardless of if we’re on the move or starting our morning with a heart-healthy bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios™, I recognize that maintaining a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicated. Eating a heart healthy breakfast, like a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios, is the one choice I make for myself to get my day started the right way.

One thing I will always be grateful for is the ability to establish lifelong habits in my kids. Staying active, having manners, and excelling in academics are surely regular habits we all would love to live by.  However, eating healthy is one habit that my husband and I are proud to demonstrate to our kids. Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, Cheerios is one easy choice I can make to start my day off right. This small habit has led me to take control of my overall health to make sure I’m energized and ready to tackle each day. And trust me, these days I need all the energy I can get. Did you know that in adults, Honey Nut Cheerios can help lower cholesterol as part of a heart-healthy diet? (Three grams of soluble fiber daily from whole grain oat foods, like Cheerios cereal, in a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. Specially marked Cheerios varieties provide .75 grams per serving.)

Overall, seeing and experiencing the conscientious decisions I have made for my family has been the most rewarding. I’m often assured that my kids are able to give their all in all of their activities because of the quick nutritional boost from a healthy breakfast. I also don’t have to worry too much about my husband and I since Cheerios are a quick treat made with whole grain oats and a touch of real golden honey that my husband and I can enjoy at the table or on the go.

If there’s one habit I can prioritize and pass down, it would be prioritizing healthy choices within your diet. A seemingly trivial habit placed within your daily routine can change everything. Thanks to Honey Nut Cheerios, you won’t be sacrificing taste. Honey Nut Cheerios is a healthy breakfast for kids and grown-ups alike. That’s what makes it not only delicious, but fun as well. Setting a good example for my kids makes me excited that my children will be set to make healthy decisions throughout their lives.
