Taco Tuesday anyone? No, but seriously I could eat tacos multiple times a week I love tacos especially street tacos. I asked my husband and he said he could do once a week so I guess that will work. Which surprised me because before he met me he did not eat a lot of Mexican food, Tex-Mex none of that. When we use to go out with my family he would always say let me guess we are getting Mexican food, apparently, we eat a lot of it. My dad's wife is Hispanic and he loves cooking authentic Hispanic food. He makes bomb tacos, fajitas, what we like to call orange chicken (the chicken is literally orange), and charro beans. Recently he learned how to make Spanish rice so you can't tell him anything, let him tell it he's an expert now.

Unfortunately, for me my family lives over 4 hours away in the Houston area and Midland so I don't see them as often as I would like. That means if I want tacos I better either buy them or make them myself. This is exactly how this recipe came about because your girl got tired of buying tacos plus my favorite taco shop Taco's La Banqueta is way in Arlington and I don't live there anymore. So these make a great substitute.

I love topping my tacos with probably more onions than I should a lot of salsa and crema. Iā€™m a sauce type of girl so the more the merrier. They truly are delicious and go perfect with a nice side of chips and fresh guacamole. Finish it off with your cocktail of choice but I mean can you really go wrong with a margarita. Then enjoy, perfect for a weekend dinner party with friends, game night, or just a simple at-home date night.
