The Door Guardian: Prepare For The Unexpected

When I had kids, there were some things I never thought I would have to worry about until theyreached a certain age. One of those things being locking and unlocking doors but, having an extremely tall two-year-old comes with its struggles, especially when your two-year-old is the average height of most four-year-olds. If you are wondering, “Well, you must be tall!” I’m not. I’m 5’6, and my husband is 5’10. Our two-year-old is a mini giant who can reach and unlock both the top and bottom lock. The only saving grace is he hasn’t quite learned how to turn doorknobs yet, but I’m sure it’s coming.

So of course I needed to find a solution and The Door Guardian was the answer to our prayers. A super simple to install, easy-to-use solution for securing exterior doors in our home. We live in an apartment complex so we needed something that was not only inexpensive and simple to install but that could also be easily removable and not cause damage. The Door Guardian provided us the means to cost-effectively childproof our home. And not only the front door, they even make ones for sliding patio doors which are found in most apartments called the Patio Door Guardian.

If you are a parent with an active toddler on the loose then this is for sure the product for you. It's better to be safe than sorry because we all think it will never happen to us. Our Toddler would never figure out how to unlock the door, much less open it and head out, but you would be surprised just how smart and curious these kids are.  I would instead be prepared than having an accident on my hands, all because I had the mindset that my toddler knows not to open the door.

It’s affordable, comes in many different finishes, easy to install, and perfect for rentals; what more could you ask for? Prepare for the unexpected with The Door Guardian.
